Health & Safety Statement
Our Commitment
At NineAxis, the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, clients, service partners, subcontractors, visitors and members of the public are fundamental to the way we conduct our business.
We are committed to providing and maintaining, so far as is reasonably practicable, a safe and healthy working environment while delivering professional facilities management services. Health and safety is integrated into our operational planning, decision-making and service delivery processes, and we continually strive to maintain the highest standards of safety, compliance and professionalism.
We recognise that effective health and safety management protects people, supports business continuity and contributes to the long-term success of our organisation and those we serve.
Our Policy
NineAxis is committed to:
* Providing a safe and healthy working environment for employees, clients, contractors and visitors.
* Complying with all applicable health and safety legislation, regulations and recognised industry standards.
* Identifying hazards, assessing risks and implementing appropriate control measures.
* Promoting safe systems of work across all activities.
* Ensuring that personnel are appropriately trained, competent and equipped to perform their duties safely.
* Encouraging open communication on health and safety matters and promoting a positive safety culture.
* Monitoring, reviewing and continually improving our health and safety performance.
Responsibilities
Health and safety is a shared responsibility throughout NineAxis.
Management is responsible for providing leadership, resources and oversight to support effective health and safety management.
Employees, approved service partners and subcontractors are expected to:
* Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their actions.
* Comply with applicable health and safety policies, procedures and site rules.
* Use equipment, materials and personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately where required.
* Report hazards, unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses promptly.
* Cooperate with NineAxis and our clients in maintaining safe working environments.
Risk Management
NineAxis adopts a proactive approach to risk management.
Before undertaking work, we seek to identify foreseeable hazards, assess associated risks and implement suitable control measures appropriate to the nature of the activities being carried out.
Where required, appropriate risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work will be developed and followed.
Training and Competence
We recognise that competent people are essential to safe service delivery.
NineAxis is committed to ensuring that employees and those working on our behalf receive appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
Where specialist activities require specific qualifications, certifications or licences, only appropriately competent personnel will be engaged.
Incident Reporting and Investigation
All accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions should be reported promptly.
Where appropriate, incidents will be investigated to determine their root causes, identify corrective actions and support continuous improvement in our health and safety performance.
Lessons learned will be communicated where appropriate to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
Working with Clients
NineAxis works collaboratively with clients to promote safe working environments.
We will comply with reasonable site-specific health and safety requirements and expect our personnel, approved service partners and subcontractors to observe all applicable client rules, procedures and safety instructions while working on client premises.
Where necessary, we will cooperate with clients in relation to site inductions, permit-to-work systems and other health and safety arrangements.
Continuous Improvement
Health and safety is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-time obligation.
We regularly review our policies, procedures and operational practices to ensure they remain effective, appropriate and aligned with legislative requirements, industry developments and the evolving needs of our business.
We encourage feedback and actively seek opportunities to strengthen our health and safety performance.
